ARTIST OF JANUARY 2010 LADY GAGA  Lady Gaga has had one of the most remarkable music debuts in years. Her chart-topping smashes, wacky fashion sense, and show-stopping performances have completely remade the face of pop music. With her new album The Fame Monster under her belt, it would only make sense that she would dominate 2010 like she did '09. So, she is the inaugural Artist of the Month at BWU! ESSENTIAL BWU POSTS ABOUT GAGA: HER BEST VIDEOS: BAD ROMANCE - While she had tons of success with videos like Poker Face and LoveGame, and Paparazzi was excellent, it was this video that solidified her as a pop force to be reckoned with. PAPARAZZI - Music video, piece of art; whatever label you gave it, Paparazzi was a true eye-opener of a video. People desperate to label her a flash in the pan were silenced by this visual stunner (with an actual plotline to boot!) LOVEGAME - A sex-laced tribute to Michael Jackson's "Bad", LoveGame was so controversial that it was rumored to be banned in some parts of Europe, like the United Kingdom. It might have had something to do with the sparkly nude Gaga and the bisexual overtones. Regardless, the song was a smash, and the video amazing. POKER FACE - Just Dance was just a taste, because Poker Face was a true representation of what Gaga could really do as a popstar. Who could forget the opening scene of her emerging from the pool as her two big dogs watched? |
